NUMBER OF CHILDREN PER TOUR:

The minimum number of children or individuals per tour is 15. The maximum is 25. If your class/group contains more than 25 people, we are happy to lead two separate tours during the same time slot. If you have other needs, please visit with us, we may be able to accommodate.

AGES:

We will provide information relevant to children preK-8th grade.However, the whole family is welcome to come for the tour! Please let us know the age of your group so that we can provide the most relevant tour for you.

NUMBER OF CHAPERONES:

We request that there be 1 chaperone per 5 children taking the tour

 

PRICE:

$5 per child/individual, $4 per chaperone, no charge to paid teaching staff and homeschool teachers, no charge to siblings under 3 yrs of age

LENGTH OF TOURS:

The tours will last about 1 ½ hours.

 

WHAT YOU WILL SEE:

On your arrival, you will be greeted by the owner or farm assistant who will lead you on the farm tour. They will provide you with safety information and rules for the tour. You will be given a bit of history regarding our farm. Your tour will begin with a hayride in a trailer pulled by one of our tractors. On your ride, you will be shown our growing fields and will receive information as to how we grow produce, where we sell it and how to use the crops yourselves. During your hayride, there will be a time for each child/individual to harvest a seasonable vegetable to take home under the direction of your tour guide. After the hayride, you may visit our farm animals. Once the tour is completed, you will be able to eat a picnic lunch in a play area set up with benches and play equipment. You may bring your own sack

lunch or purchase from the Farmer’s Fare Food Trailer right here on the Farm!
